Kitchen Design Trends – 2019

We picked our top 5 favorite design trend predictions for the year ahead.

Freestanding Islands:

We love incorporating large islands in all of our kitchens.
But using an antique piece of furniture for your island, instead of a traditional cabinet- really adds a lot of warmth and character to your space.

I also love everything about this custom island- from the butcher block top to the open space underneath.
Such a large functional piece, but doesn’t take up a lot of visual space.

Walls of Storage:

Floor to ceiling built ins are the best way to maximize your space, whether you have a small or large kitchen.
It is the perfect way to conceal all of your small appliances, food containers, dishes, ect.
Plus, beautiful and functional storage- will never go out of style!

Pendant Lights:

There is nothing like adding the perfect light to help complete your kitchen. I am so glad this trend is sticking around.
We love adding large scale, statement pendants in our homes.

Mixing Metals:

Here is another trend I am happy to see again. We are big fans of mixing metals, and have been for years.
It helps take your space to the next level and ultimately makes it feel more custom.

Dark Cabinets with Dark Countertops:

What a bold change from the previous years. Where light and white was the trend.
I really cannot get enough of the drama and glamour this will add to your kitchen.

We are looking forward to adding in these beautiful elements into our homes this year.
